Summary
When you were twenty-three, you fell ill.
It began as a small fever, then a sweltering one. You couldn’t stomach any food or water, gagging even at the sight of it like an irrational fear. They’d suspected rabies, but then welts began to grow and fester over your skin and pop, overflowing with pus and blood. You began having hallucinations and hysterical outbursts of fear and anger.
The hospital tried everything. You were locked in quarantine and studied like a lab rat. Test after test gave no further clues, no hint as to what sort of disease had caused this. Even the government had become involved to ensure word did not spread and cause hysteria amongst the common masses.
When you were twenty-three, you died.

Summary
You're an engineer who works for Ebott's best research facility in one of the labs; your lifelong dream after finding a journal on Mount Ebott when you were a kid. When you aren't in the lab being smart, you're gathering materials at the abandoned doll factory for the machine you're trying to build.
But one night, you meet a skeleton at the factory. Naturally, you lie about why you're there and say you're there to hunt ghosts. You befriend him and try to find a way to gather the materials while keeping up with that lie. But those lies catch up to you when you start to meet all the other skeletons.
