Summary
Teeth clenched, Rooster leans his forearm across Hangman’s chest, looming, eyes searching eyes. “What’s your game?”
If Hangman is intimidated, he gives no indication. In fact, he seems to grasp what Rooster is asking immediately; that stupid smirk curls the sides of his lips as he raises his chin in challenge. “This isn’t a game, Rooster. It’s just life.” The smirk widens. “Well, life and death.”
---
Or: Rooster is sure he’s straight. So why does Hangman always look so good?

“While sexual activity is not my default purpose, I do possess the capability,” Connor says without so much as batting an eye, unaware that he’s completely shattered Hank’s world view in one single sentence.

Summary
Hank gave in to the urge to bury his face in his hands. This was just… Fuck, he was too innocent looking. Those wide eyes, the soft looking lips. He stared at Hank like he hung the sun and stars, and here Hank was, projecting. Again.
Something brushed his shoulder and Hank couldn’t help but jump. He flinched away and moved his hands, but it was just Connor. It was always just Connor, standing a little too close, probing when Hank was at his worst. Standing at his side with worry in his eyes, staring up at him, and… Fuck.
He was too old for this. He was too old and broken and fucked up to deserve this, but Connor made it too easy to want it anyway.

Summary
Thrown together by Cowley and by chance, it’s loathe at first sight for Bodie and Doyle. Used to operating solo, Doyle is not impressed when he’s put to babysitting a saucy ex-mercenary who is not even part of CI5. When what was supposed to be an easy assignment turns into a race for survival, the two men will have to use their respective skills to work together if they hope to make it home alive. An encounter with an angry stoat will be the least of their worries as they struggle to surmount the increasing obstacles in their way. The experience will leave neither man untouched, but it remains to be seen whether they’ll acknowledge the impact it has made.

He initialed the transfer order next, it was time to bring Mr. Solo back to New York. There was only one more thing left to do, and that, he already knew, would require time, effort and a certain amount of luck to bring about. Solo's Luck, he thought sardonically.

Summary
Murder on San Carmelitas by Lynna Bright was originally published as a stand-alone paper zine in 1986 by April Valentine’s Amapola Press. It was one of the most popular and enduring works of fiction available to the fandom in the pre-internet print zine era, and reflects the time in which it was created. Written prior to 1986, the story takes place in 1982, 36 months after Gunther’s assassination attempt on Starsky. MoSC creates a fictional island off the coast of California called San Carmelitas owned and populated primarily by gay men. Starsky and Hutch have to go undercover as a gay couple on this island to catch a serial killer.
