Summary
“urghh..” Jaskier leans up in his bedroll, rubbing sleep from his eyes. His groaning stems from the pain in his leg; a stitched up wound on his calf muscle, still fresh and tender.
Maybe 2 days prior Jaskier and Geralt were wading through a swamp, and not quickly. Geralt had just finished a contract; his armour and skin was ripped up by a Kikimora that had taken up residence underground near a farmhouse and he had a few too many bruises to care about safe routes, all this landed them on a shortcut through the swamps.
