Summary
“I’m right here,” Nayeon said. “You’re okay, even if it doesn’t feel like it.” That much she knew was true.
Mina quieted down after a few moments. Her shoulders stopped shaking and just kind of sagged into Nayeon’s arms. After a moment, Nayeon pulled away, reaching her finger out to stop a tear that was rolling down Mina’s cheek.
“When did it start?” Nayeon did her best to keep her voice neutral. If Mina felt judged, she’d realized, she just closed herself off even more. Nayeon would never judge her, but she had to prove that to Mina. She had to show her that.
“On the train, before the train, days ago,” Mina said quickly. “I don’t know,” she said quietly. “It just… it’s overwhelming.” She refused to look at Nayeon, instead staring down at her hands, fidgeting with the ring she was wearing.
