While Mrs. Danvers certainly has her faults (encouraging Mrs. D#2 to jump out a window, most likely being the arsonist who destroyed Manderley, and possibly the murderer who killed staff who couldn't escape the burning Manderley) ... I have no evidence that she is a liar. Mrs. Danvers states that Maxim is 46 when he marries Mrs. D#2. She also shares that Maxim was actively involved in Rebecca's "hair drills". I have been puzzling over a story that includes Mrs. Danvers "facts" - this is that story. : )
