Summary
"Ruth stared at him for a beat, then snorted, though the sound caught on something in her chest. “Well, you know what they say. You can take a girl out of the military…”
“But you can’t take the military out of the girl,” he finished for her, almost under his breath.
She arched a brow. “Careful, Robinavitch. If you start finishing my sentences, people will talk.”After three months on the road, Robby returns to PTMC expecting the usual: bureaucratic headaches, an emergency department on the brink, and residents in need of constant guidance. What he does not expect is Ruth—a newly hired attending with a flawless record, dual board certifications, and a calm resilience that unsettles him more than he cares to admit.
From the beginning, their presence collides. Ruth challenges his authority, counters his instincts, and refuses to yield, even in the most chaotic moments. Yet in the midst of tension and conflict, a different connection forms—one neither of them anticipated, and neither can fully control.
The ER quickly becomes too small for both of them.

Summary
Robby has had a long fucking day. At this point he doesn't remember what its like to have a day that doesn't rake him over the coals. He goes to a bar to drown his sorrows. He comes home with a bubbly and beautiful 30-year-old that, as the kids would say, "matches his freak."
Except Robby has never been normal about a woman a day in his life, and this girl has him fantasizing about a future together after one conversation.
(aka, The Author doesn't know how to write porn without a little bit of plot, too)
