Summary
Bruce knocked his fist against the wooden door, his cowl casting a dramatic shadow across the front step. Behind him, all in various stages of injury, stood the entire Justice League, watching the small cabin with curious glances. An awkward silence surrounded them, until Hal finally spoke up, his voice more than slightly nervous. “Are you sure about this, Batman?” To his everlasting credit, Bruce only hesitated for a second before grunting back a “Yes. These are allies.” The door swung open, revealing an older-looking teen with guns strapped to his thighs. The league froze. This, whatever this was, was not what they had expected when Batman himself led them to a safe-house in the middle of nowhere. The teen sighed, glaring at them.
“What the hell, Dad?”

We were kids together, growing up in the same crime ridden alleyways and neighborhoods, just two doors down the road from each other. “I’ll find a way.” he turned back to face me, a big smile stretching across his face, one I would never forget, the light in his eyes visible.
I never saw Jason again after that night. Not in person at least.
On the news, getting adopted by Bruce Wayne of all people, waving and smiling to the cameras, it never reached his eyes the way his smile always did when we were younger.
Then he vanished for good.

Summary
Buck sneezes.
The entire team is huddled around Bobby on the grounds of the University of Southern California, trying to hear his incident rundown over firehoses, sirens, and cries for help— and Buck sneezes.
"Bless you," Athena replies.
"Two more and you're cut off," Chimney quips.
"Sorry, guys," Buck croaks, wiping his hoodied forearm against his nose. "Cap?"
Bobby shoots Buck a slightly concerned Dad Glare, but continues on anyway.
Buck shouldn't be here, necessarily. He knows this. He's been sick with a stupid cold for two days. No amount of socks and hoodies seem to help, but that doesn't stop him from trying. Chills, aches, and mucus coming out his nose and down his throat, making talking just slightly to the left of miserable.
But when a biohazard incident put his friends, his family, in danger? Of course he's here. There's nowhere else he'd rather be.
or; Buck attends an emergency while on a sick day, and it turns out to be a good idea
