Summary
In Proud Immortal Daemon Way where everyone has a daemon - an animal manifestation of their soul - Shen Yuan transmigrates into an NPC hallmaster whose daemon was killed by the cruel, jealous Shen Qingqiu during a night hunt. It's something Shen Yuan knows from PIDW, but can't prove because since he woke up on the mountain he hasn't seen Shen Qingqiu's daemon even once. Nobody has. Without proof of the scum villain's wrongdoing he can't do anything but wait until Shen Qingqiu fabricates an excuse to kick him off the mountain and get rid of him for good.
But Shen Yuan isn't someone who would take this lying down, oh no! He will make the best of his time here on the mountain by making sure that Luo Binghe - future Protagonist, gentle white lotus who will arrive any week now - will have his path to a better future paved and ready. Shen Yuan has plans to drag the scum villain to justice and expose him for the monster he is if he so much as lifts a hand against Binghe! And to do that he might make use of an unlikely friend he made during his time on the peak: a scarred, reclusive wolf living in the bamboo forest that has some connection to the scum villain.

Summary
In the aftermath of the novel, the Lan elders cite an old Confucian rule in refusing to acknowledge the unwitnessed marriage between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji: it is inappropriate, they say, for a younger brother to marry before the elder.
In the face of mounting attempts to drive Wei Wuxian from the Cloud Recesses, and rampant infighting for the position of Jin sect leadership, Jiang Cheng proposes marriage to Lan Xichen. The marriage, he says, will cement their allyship and bring stability to the crumbling coalition of the Great Sects.
Unfortunately, the new couple just do not get along.
Xicheng enter a marriage of convenience. After much strife, they agree to try anew. Eight years pass in peaceful co-existence, but they eventually capitulate to requests from elders to annul the marriage and beget heirs. However, they soon realize that it's not so easy to put eight years of marriage behind them. Falling repeatedly into bed together, they begin to navigate a shameful, secret relationship.

Luo Binghe didn't know how long he had spent bent over Shizun's body in Jue Di Gorge before his martial uncles found them. An eternity, perhaps, or no time at all. It had been long enough for the terrifyingly strong ice demon to vanish into a portal. It had been long enough for him to wrench himself under control, a single shuddering breath at a time. It had been long enough for Meng Mo to help him temporarily re-seal the sigil on his forehead that would betray his demonic heritage. It had, worst of all, been long enough for Shizun's body to begin to chill, even as it was held in Binghe's arms.

It's very easy to ignore your reincarnated Shixiong when he's far away and living in another sect, it's harder to ignore him when he takes your awkward attempt at ending a conversation as permission to move into your guesthouse with his husband for a neverending vacation.
Ghosts from Jiang Cheng’s past follow him home (in the form of the very alive Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian). Trying to deal with it as an adult is definitely something Jiang Cheng can do.
