Slowly pulling away, Aaliyah reached out with one of her hands and cupped Cruz’s cheek, her thumb starting to move in a slow, gentle rhythm. Aaliyah could feel the warmth emanating from that cheek. Aaliyah moved her lips to Cruz's ear as she continued to caress that part of Cruz’s face. She could perfectly see a shiver running through the girl's body, and smiling at the action, she whispered, "I'm glad to hear that, Zara, because after this… after this, I'll never give you peace," and after that, Aaliyah did what she had wanted to do since she laid her eyes on Cruz's neck.
Aaliyah moved her lips to where the girl's pulse resided, delicately sealing her words with a searing kiss, and whispered, "That's a promise, and I never break my promises."

“Guys, guys, guys—“ Hazel busted through the doors of the gym, scrambling over to the club with so much excitement PJ was a little worried she’d hurt herself. She was grinning like a complete idiot as she dropped her backpack on the ground and did a little jump. “I just got asked out!”

OR: A few weeks after the football massacre, things are finally back to normal between PJ and Hazel (after PJ avoiding talking about her feelings like the plague and Hazel finally giving up) and she's ready to leave the kiss and her complicated, totally platonic and not at all life-ruining feelings behind her.

She’s not prone to act like a stone-cold, annoying-ass bitch after a few drinks. And, well. Shauna’s so not equipped to deal with this, which is why she quickly decides that her best option is to just make a beeline straight out of Lottie's massive house. “Jackie, no. I’m leaving. And you’re going to go outside and have fun with your awesome boyfriend,” Shauna snarks, in a somewhat squeaky voice. And, of course, Shauna’s pathetically nimble voice just spurs Jackie to shake her heavy head in response. There’s a sly smile creeping onto her lips, which just makes Shauna’s aggravations triple. “Jesus Christ, Jackie. You made such a big deal about getting with Jeff tonight. So– so why don’t you just leave me the fuck alone!”
Or: The plane crash and the Shauna/Jeff thing still happen (eventually), but Shauna and Jackie start sneaking around months before both occur. This fic will track the events leading to Shauna's decision to join the cult.
