Shen Qingqiu was a god of scholars in the Cang Qiong pantheon. He was associated with the color green, bamboo, and hand fans. He was known to be cruel, especially towards the male gender.
Legend says that his student, the man who became the Heavenly Demon Emperor (whose true name has been lost to time) tortured him for his cruelty when he became the Emperor. With Shen Qingqiu’s dying breath, he dragged the Heavenly Demon into death with him, and so they left the world. Academics will say that they were both dragged into hell, while those who followed the old religion say they were reborn.

Summary
Except… there was no Host! Shen Yuan… System… They nestled themselves into the soul of the nearest living being, which incidentally happened to be the Power Source.
The part of System that was Shen Yuan was conflicted, because on one hand it felt correct to be connected to Power Source, and certainly correct to have a Host, but never should Host and Power Source be the same!

A glitch in the System while Shen Yuan is transmigrating leaves him to become the System, who subsequently latches onto Luo Binghe as a host.
