She stiffened when she saw him, a man in blue with a rifle slung about his shoulders. He hugged the shade as he made his way towards her stall, moving with the air of someone with both the freedom to do absolutely whatever he wanted and the responsibility to do absolutely nothing in particular.
As he got closer, she saw that one of his hands clutched the rifle grip, his forefinger wrapped loosely around the trigger.
