Summary
The Ashenford, a train advertised to be its corporation's biggest venture yet, is about to finally be on its first journey.
Meanwhile, Detective Lauren Sinclair has just been called back after a failed lead in a case she has been assisting in. But it proves difficult to book a space. Opportunity arrives in the form of her childhood friend, Dylan Rosenthal, who manages to land her a ticket on the train due to his position as Director.
But when the train runs into a snowdrift, there is nothing but hope in the crisis that brings all the passengers and perfect strangers together and breaks their walls down and forces them to socialize. What used to be awkward silence, has now been replaced with anxious whispers.
Things get even worse when a passenger is found in his compartment, stabbed to death.
Now stranded amid the snow, there is no other option but to wait. Or, as Dylan urges, open investigation themselves.
