After a few days of keeping Akechi in his bathtub, Akira begins to suspect there’s more humanity in the merman than he was told.

As if he was that similar to the bird he was codenamed after, captivated by any shiny object in his field of vision.Akira looked from Goro to the necklace and back again. “Would it be better if I got a pocketwatch?” he said, like the asshole he was. “I mean, this is probably the least cliché option we have.”
“Akira, I refuse to let you use me as a guinea pig for your first attempt at a hackneyed form of stage magic.”
