Summary
Hey! I "finished" this fic about a year back, but with the benefit of hindsight, I feel like the first half is much stronger than the latter. I fully intend to rework this whole thing into something more cohesive this year, so stay tuned! Feel free to read and enjoy this fic in its current state, and be sure to leave some feedback if you feel like it! Even if it's criticisms or some details you feel are off. This is essentially a rough draft for what I intend to turn into a full-fledged novel somewhere down the line. Stay safe, and I hope you have a phenomenal year, despite everything. Sending lots of love and hugs your way!

Summary
The water laps at their skin, gently; the guitar strumming in the background only adding to their current state of bliss and unawareness of the world outside of the room.
After countless days and weeks spent under the Moroccan sun, and the equally oppressing and delightful heat present in the region, his skin has managed to turn what could be described as olive. To his eyes, at least. Joe (of course), has made it abundantly clear that, no, Nuri*. It is not by any stretch of the mind noticeable.
But then again, he’s also been more insistent on covering every inch of his skin with both his lips and his tongue. More so than usual. And that is saying something.
His money’s on Joe being full of it.

Summary
It was quiet outside. Shockingly so.
He stares deep into the cityscape, wondering. Expecting. Cautiously letting his guard down; deep down fearing the worst.
Silently praying that Hell will indeed stay put, just for one night.
As the distant chime of the bells reach the twelfth ring, he makes up his mind. Sleep would elude him tonight. Again.
The curtains, translucid and soft as a feather, billow gently as the wind sweeps past him and into their room. He holds his sides with his hands, rubbing gently, and waiting for the shivers to pass. Even when they do indeed pass, he presses on.
He doesn’t have to heart to wake him up if it isn’t absolutely necessary for him to do so.
A defeated sigh escapes from his lips when he hears the wooden floorboard creak behind him.

Summary
It was an amusing sight to be sure, but above all, captivating.
Nicky’s eyes fluttered, all the while his lips did that quivering dance number that made the urge to let laughter escape from his own lips almost unbearable. His mouth was hanging open, just barely, making the quivering even more amusing, somehow.
No one looks particularly attractive while sleeping, but Nicky seemed to be the sole exception, to his eyes. One he couldn’t help but marvel at, even centuries after the first time they had decided that impaling one another over and over and over (and over) wasn’t exactly a productive way of spending the seemingly endless supply of time in their hands.
It was a strangely vivid memory, looking back on it.
At a certain point, they lost track of the amount of times they tried (and failed) to end the other one’s life.
