Summary
The True History the Maesters Buried:
Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower were not rivals. They were lovers. Their love was the fulfillment of the ancient prophecy, the Song of Ice and Fire, which foretold that the union of Fire (Targaryen) and Ice (Hightower) would heal the world's ancient wound and save humanity from the White Walkers.
But the maesters, the Faith, and the patriarchal order could not allow two women to rule together. So they destroyed them. They tore them apart. They rewrote history, and then the dragons danced and generations later the White Walkers would return.

What happens when D'Cooke's vision of Rhaenicent ruling together inspires a 180k fix-it. Canon-divergence starts from s1e8. Instead of dying and ruining everything, Vizzy does everyone in Westeros a solid and hangs in there long enough for our ladies to reconcile and prepare to co-queen. Alternating POVs with dual POVs for the first and final chapters. If there are specific TWs for a chapter I will include them in the AN.
