    Summary

“I called it the Good Luck quilt,” Grace says. “It’s all symbols of luck from across the world, it was a parting gift before the mission - but let’s not get into all that. It’s silly but it’s comforted me through some pretty hard times. I thought…I don’t know. I’m probably just being sentimental.”

Simon grasps the edge of the quilt that he can reach, if only to make sure it’s real. It’s beautiful. There’s not a lot of color left in the world, and colorful, soft fabric of this quality is worth a fortune. The patterns are joyful, almost childish. For some reason that Simon can’t quite articulate through the sickness and exhaustion, it makes him suddenly very certain that this isn’t the COI.

In Simon’s old universe, fabric, thread, and yarn are all precious commodities. He's had to learn to mend clothes and knit socks out of practicality. On Erid, it's a way to pay back what he owes, to make friends, and eventually, to heal.
A love letter fiber crafts and the people who do them, an exploration of physical disability, and of course, a very soft love story.

    Summary

Touch-starved Ryland Grace was excited at the prospect of another human on Erid who could help with platonic touching every once in a while. Simon, however, refuses to touch Ryland, closes himself off from everyone around him, and keeps having sex dreams about Grace.

What could possibly go wrong if they’re in a room together?

    OR

Grace refused to be so pathetic as to get hard from a punch to the face (he very much did get hard from it)

“You’re never gonna win this, Gri. You know that, right?” Scar taunted.
“You wanna - bet?” Grian panted, his nose bumping against Scar’s cheek as they tussled. “You’ve gotta let your guard down eventually! And then - when you least expect it - I’ll strike!”
Scar hummed, again with that infuriating smirk. “Nope. Never gonna happen. An’ there’s nothin’ you can do about it!”
Grian brought his free hand out from its fruitless quest behind his back, and tucked a lock of hair behind Scar’s ear. “Is that a challenge, hmm?”

Scar steals Grian's lucky pencil. Grian refuses to just let it slide.

    Summary

“Stop thinking,” Scar murmured into his ear, pushing his thumbs in deep circles on his lower back. “You never relax. It’s gonna get you killed.”

“I’m not the one who’s red right now,” Grian murmured back. His head got fuzzier with every breath Scar let out against his ear. “Maybe this is just your strategy to get my guard down so you can kill me.”

“Not you, Grian,” Scar answered back. He turned his head away, and Grian could feel the impression of his lips against his neck. Not kissing, not claiming, just there, waiting, like he wanted to. Needed to. But wouldn’t. “Never you.”
