Hendery never really thought of himself desperate enough to apply to a show like Tinsel Match, but the bright ad displayed on his screen makes it look easy: the promise of a fun holiday, away from all his day-to-day problems while his only task is building ridiculously large snowmen. Maybe he could even walk away with the prize if he's lucky.
There's just one problem, though. He doesn't have a partner for it.

Phil is staring at him, but Dan isn’t willing to let this go. He’s not going to back down on it. Because if Phil will come into his life in the most whimsical way imaginable with no explanations and start challenging his entire belief system, he’s going to drag him down with him.
“I didn’t– I mean….” There’s a complex mix of emotions showing on Phil’s face, none of which Dan can decipher, but he thinks he gets the gist of it.
“You have no clue, do you?” he asks him.
How are Dan and Phil doing in their parallel universe now that they're finally getting to know each other?
