    His eyes never left Saparata's. There was no pleading or fear in them, nothing that Saps would expect from a man in his position, just level determination, like he was trying to see through Saparata’s eyes into his brain, like he could hear his thoughts if he stared hard enough.

    So Saps stared back, unwilling to be the one to back down, to look away. Once, maybe, when they were friends he would have, he would have made some joke to ease the tension and let Fluixon win. But that was a lifetime ago, and he wasn't that person anymore. Neither of them were.

    After being on the run for about a year, fate seems to lead Fluixon back to Saps, again. And Saps is a little sick of it. And yet, here he is, insisting he be the one to take Fluixon prisoner. Because really, if anyone kills Flux, it should be him. But does he even want to anymore?

    AU where Saps never sends that message to Flux, they never fight in the arena, and Saps has to figure out exactly what rebuilding a life means.

    After an accident Saps got transmigrated in the dating game that he was playing. Where the character that has the same name and face as him died in every route. By using his knowledge of the game he would try to his best to survive and find a way to get back to his original world.

    It was just unfortunate that the cause of all in-game Saparata's death was none other than his fiancé Fluixon.

    It has been two weeks since the end of the Infernus battle. As far as Saps knows, everything is at peace now. The war was won, both islands are quiet, and all those who caused chaos lie dead in the ground. A place from which they can never bother anyone again.

    So tell him why. Why, of all things that could have happened, is his best friend... The same one whose memorial stands in front of Saps house, the same one Saps was sure was dead, now lying half-awake at his doorstep, begging for help?

    Flux never begs.

    What happened after Flux "died" in lava during the volcano raid?
    And how, will Saps deal with it?

     

     
    This fanfic was first written only with the intention to make Flux cry just to later have an excuse to give him comfort with lots of cuddles. But as i keep writing it, it turned into a somewhat sweet comedy with lots of silly fighting and bickering! So i hope you enjoy this small break from all the angst in this fandom and embrace the cuddles, fluff and everything nice (⁠*⁠˘⁠︶⁠˘⁠*⁠)⁠.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡

The grass beneath his feet is soft, the trees serene, flowers scatter the land blowing softly with a calm he hasn’t noticed in the wilderness for a long while. A world that does not know war, does not know mourning.

     

    Alternatively: A mandatory time loop AU, because who doesn’t love a good loss of humanity in the strive towards peace?
