Running with Maine's crew was a pain sometimes, but at least it was stable. As stable as life got while living on the edge, anyways.
Just when her new normal started to become routine... a chance encounter changed her life, for better and for worse.
The ratty street kid with the cold sad eyes, a natural gift for hacking, and not much street smarts to speak of. It would be a shame to leave potential like that rotting on the vine, and Kiwi found she couldn't let it, despite herself.
Never in her life did she think she'd end up taking someone under her wing.

But when her old mentee— and her new target— gives her a call asking if they could meet up for old times' sake... Kiwi hates that she can't say no. A few beers later, they make decisions neither of them will have very long to regret.

Freshly returned to the Source, Remeraux and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn were quickly embroiled in a conspiracy to enflame tensions between the La Noscean Kobold population and the Thalassocracy of Limsa Lominsa. With Admiral Merlwyb's eyes on a lasting peace with the beast tribes of La Noscea and a permanent end to Limsan piracy, she charges the Scions with putting an end to that plot.
After infiltrating a smuggling ring meant to transport crystals to the Kobolds to aid in their summoning of Titan, Remeraux, G'raha Tia, and Alphinaud are brought face to face with the man at the center of the operation: Sicard, the young second-in-command of the Bloody Executioners.
He and Remeraux go way back.
