Beryll has had some weird dreams in his time. There was the time he dreamt about eating a mushroom pizza made by a poptop. And the time when he’d dreamt that the poptop from his other dream had taken over the world. And, even, that time he dreamt about Kuiper, and— well, no need to go there.
This one seems more normal, for him, except, well— he’s watching himself.
Normally, in dreams, he was playing them out. Sort of puppet-like. All he could do was act his memories out, or go along with the plotline, and then he’d wake up. But this one— no.

The lamp was light blue, a pale, simple lampshade over the top.
It was simple. Plain. And yet Ethan’s hands were gentle, like he was holding something fragile. That was how Ethan was, always doing things that didn't make logical sense given the information she had on him. The lamp was plain, unimportant, simply a source to produce lights (the wires connecting, bulb fuse sparking in a millisecond to create a warm glow-), so logically, Ethan should just place the item with the average amount of care of any freshly graduated twenty-year-old should, and practically slam the thing onto the wooden side table. But Ethan is illogical. Ethan is all shapes and patterns, colors muddling together when Mia holds them all in her hands and begs them to make sense.
