One month since Wifies had died.
If Parrot had been paying attention to his calendar, maybe he could have used this information to rationalise how utterly exhausted he’d been the entire day, like he was constantly one step away from toppling off the edge of a towering obsidian cliff.
He didn’t know. He couldn’t have known. It was simply another act of betrayal, not from his closest friend, this time, but by his own body.

Parrot circles a random, scribbled note about a supposed connection to a weird portal in the nether. It’s the fifth time he’s looked at this note and the fifth time it leads to nothing. He knows it’s likely a wild goose chase, just like the other thirty leads he’s fruitlessly followed in the past week. But still, the thought of finding something, ANYTHING, keeps him going. The alternative is sinking, drowning in the grief he refuses to acknowledge.
Better to chase a ghost than face the reality that the only person he ever really cared about is gone. Because of him.
