Summary
Even when they finally go to sea, Stan is not very good at being kind to himself, or letting anyone else be kind to him.
Ford tries his hardest to fix that.Written out of annoyance that a few years ago this one writer who went by the moniker peachypeachers, and later changed to todorokees (if I'm remembering correctly) wrote a really good fic in this vein called "Deeply, Deeply Screwed Up," and then wound up deleting it along with their account altogether. This isn't exactly the same, obviously, since that would be plagiarism, but I prefer to think of it as a kind of homage to that one's beauty.
Thinking I'll only do about five of these, but I might do more if I get inspired.
