"Did Father ever like flowers?" Shadow Jam Cookie piped up as he suddenly appeared beside his Dad.
Pure Vanilla blinked at the sudden question and presence of his eldest, but he chuckled and sighed before answering. "He did, not as much as I, of course. But he had his favorites." Pure Vanilla said with a hint of sadness, but Shadow could tell he tried to hide it.
"What was it?" He sat beside Pure Vanilla and looked at his face curiously. Always waiting to learn new facts about others and things, just like his Father.
Pure Vanilla didn't speak for a moment as he set the flowers down and looked over to a small white one nearby. Almost as if he were speaking to the flower through his eyes rather than his mouth..."Dad?" Shadow Jam Cookie voiced to the older cookie.
"Vanilla Orchids." Pure Vanilla answered quickly. "Vanilla Orchids were his favorite..." His voice turned quiet towards the end.
Shadow Jam Cookie didn't question anymore after that…
