Summary
Hwang Hyunjin never thought he’d sign up to date an alien — especially when his dating history with humans is far from being… perfect. (Actually, he signed up for the social study without knowing about the whole “dating” part, but anyway.)
He’s paired with Kim Seungmin, an alien scientist, highly logical and emotionless by nature, who treats romance like a series of experiments. Holding hands? Check. Awkward cuddles? Check. A first kiss analysed down to heart rates and body heat increase? Oh, definitely. But what begins as a clinical experiment slowly evolves into something neither of them anticipated: real feelings.
Cue awkward kisses, misunderstandings, and a whole lot of ‘what the?..’ moments.

Seungmin ignores him, smacking the folder onto the desk, flipping it open without looking, sliding it across the surface towards Minho. “It doesn’t matter. This was in the lease. You signed, right—” he taps the bottom corner, Minho’s initials perfectly legible. “Here.”
“Excuse me?” Minho leans forward.
“Paragraph nineteen subsection C,” Seungmin says, not even looking down as he recites the document word for word. “Lease is not voidable in the case of suspected paranormal activity.” He pounds his finger on the period.
Minho laughs. A short, barked thing, completely disbelieving. “You’re kidding me.”
“I’m really not,” Seungmin’s face pinches up into the sort of fake, squinted smile someone gives when they’re being an asshole. No remorse.

Summary
Hyunjin hates sweets, plain and simple, so when he waltzes (read: is dragged) into Sunshine Sweets ice cream parlor at 10 AM on a Saturday, he's wholly unprepared to get hooked on a particular scent; never mind the fact that the scent in question doesn't seem to exist in any one flavor, and never mind the fact that the ice cream parlor is manned by a literal Angel with a surprisingly strong stubborn streak.
Felix hates his scent – not because it's bad, but because no amount of scent patches or neutralizer seem able to disguise it; and because it's gotten him more attention that he'd personally like. He does love sweets, though, so hiding in plain sight at an ice cream shop is a pretty fair trade. Never mind the fact that a seemingly-masochistic, ice-cream hating Alpha keeps showing up. Never mind the fact that Felix can't seem to get said Alpha's scent out of his head.

And he's pretty sure Changbin closed his bedroom door three minutes ago, so there's absolutely no reasonable explanation for why Seungmin is still standing outside of it making a sound suspiciously close to a whine.
Then he growls at Jisung.
Then somebody throws a ball.
Then someone knocks on the front door three seconds after Seungmin swears he heard them coming.
By the time a pair of floppy ears and an extremely opinionated tail finally appear, Seungmin has run out of ways to explain any of this.
Fortunately, the house has done this before.
Unfortunately, the house has done this before.
And Lee Minho has been waiting patiently for the universe to make this someone else's problem.

Summary
Minho only needs somewhere to stay for a few weeks.
Living with seven other people isn't supposed to become anything more than that.
There are rules, though.
Don't touch his ears without asking. Don't grab his tail. Don't acknowledge the birds on television. If he says don't, stop. If he leaves his giant crinkle ball in the middle of the hallway, that's where it belongs.
Most importantly, when Minho does something particularly catlike—
Don't make it weird.
One by one, the members learn the rules.
And somewhere between shared snacks, grooming sessions, hoodie-string casualties, sun-warmed cuddles, a ridiculous crinkle ball, and one very wet cat hybrid caught in the rain, Minho learns something too.
Maybe being known doesn't have to mean being watched.
Maybe being loved doesn't have to mean giving up the right to decide how.
Maybe seven people can learn exactly where he fits.

Or how to make Minho's cats fall in love with me in ten steps. This was just like studying for an exam, right? Break it down into manageable chunks. He glanced over at Minho's encyclopedia of cat care, feeling his stomach tighten. Step One: Convince Minho and his cats that I already understand the mysterious creatures I'm about to cohabitate with.

Its walls arched above Seungmin, colossal and immense. He felt small in the presence of such a monumental build—an awe-inspiring feeling. One that sat heavy within him and deepened his breaths.
He had to call Changbin.
