    Katsuki was a lot of things.

    He was strong. He was fast. He was smart. He was handsome. He was powerful. In most people's eyes, Katsuki was the image of perfection.

    In Katsuki's eyes though, he was different. He was mean. He was selfish. He was angry. He was ugly. He was a crybaby.

    He was confused.

    Being confused made him angry, being angry made him frustrated, and being frustrated made him cry. It was in those moments of vulnerability that the confusion crept in and the whole cycle started over again.

    Why did he want to be pretty? And why did that fill him with so much shame?

    Maybe that was why, when he woke up in a windowless room he didn’t recognize, on a couch he didn’t recognize, in clothes he didn’t recognize, Deku didn’t panic. His first thought had been “someone must have saved me” and he felt the warmth of the blanket that covered him seep into his chest.

    His second thought was “would getting kidnapped really be that bad compared to how I was living before?”

    Loneliness did strange things to a person's psyche.

    Living with people, as Kirishima finds out, is weird. Especially when the people he lives with weren't that normal to begin with. Everyone has their own little habits, quirks, if you will. Things that are certainly normal in their own households but cause outsiders to raise an eyebrow. Mina blasts music in her room so loud that people two floors down can hear it. Koda brings home animals off the street and lets them loose in the common room so they can ‘rehabilitate.’ Kaminari seems to exist solely off of energy drinks and leaves half-finished ones in strange places. Kirishima once found one on the floor of the shower. Who does that? But by far the weirdest is, unsurprisingly, Bakugou. That is to say that he's pretty damn normal.

    Kirishima becomes interested in seeing Bakugou when he isn't an angry, murdery, mess. Soon he realizes just how much of a integral part of his daily life Bakugou has become.

    His tenth birthday, something that should have been a rather normal occasion. It is forever changed when Midoriya Izuku learns what it means to lose everything that he holds dear. What it means to be utterly powerless.

    Pulled from a train, covered in blood, and voiceless. Unable to save himself or those that he held closest. That day, Izuku starts to understand what it means to face death and what the finality brings. Forced to face his new reality, he struggles to do things no one else thought he was ever capable of. Forced to grow to become a monster that no one believed he was able to be.

    Midoriya Izuku, raised by Shie Hassaikai after months of being on his own, and left behind by the one person he let in after Kacchan left and his mother died. He comes to learn that family is little more than who you place faith in. Who you chose to stand beside. No matter the cost.

    Forever shifting the fates of those around him and becoming a brother, son, and nephew to those he so chooses. Izuku reforms Hero Society, changes the Shie Hassaikai yakuza group, and takes down those who would harm those he cares for with little more than a gun or gall to do so.
