Summary
It had been a week since the Death Game had ended. Since they had managed to break out of their collars and escape the Asunaro building.
“They” being the four survivors of the horrific kidnapping- Keiji Shinogi, Shin Tsukimi, Gin Ibushi, and, of course, the group’s reluctant leader, Sara Chidouin.
Out of the more than 20 people that had been kidnapped, only those four had survived. They had been found stumbling into a deserted parking lot, squinting from temporary blindness after not having seen the sun for so long, literally holding each other up to keep themselves from falling over. Keiji had been holding an unconscious Sara in his arms, and Shin had been carrying a bleeding Gin on his back. All of them, exhausted and filthy, had been found by a group of reporters, and were rushed to the nearest hospital.
After they had been treated to the best of the hospital’s ability, the four had learned that the Game itself wasn’t a secret event; it had been broadcast to the whole of Japan in real time.
