“Wonderful! My name is Betty and I’m the hiring manager at Freddy Fazbear’s Mega PizzaPlex,” she cheerfully said, “And I saw that you had applied for the position of primary animatronic caretaker.”
Vic needed a job and despite the rumors surrounding the PizzaPlex, they decided to jump on the opportunity. I sure do hope a robot doesn't form an emotional attachment with them.

That day, people cheered and celebrated in the streets. Alcohol flowed freely, and everyone was in high spirits. Wei Wuxian couldn’t get away from the ruckus if he tried. It was as though when Lan Wangji ascended, so did everyone who heard the news.
In Wei Wuxian’s mind, it had been a foregone conclusion. If anyone in his generation was going to cultivate to such a level, it could only be Lan Wangji. There was no one else so righteous, so deserving, so powerful.
Why then, didn’t Wei Wuxian feel much like celebrating when he heard the news?

Summary
Guides and Espers gave each other worth. It was only natural for Ivan to crave that connection, to desire an Esper of his own. There was one he had set his sights on years ago, but he'd accepted that things rarely worked out like that for him. When Ivan hears other Guides whispering about an unfortunate Esper in need of a new Guide, a lot of what they say matches up to the Esper he longed to see again. He'd gained a troubling nickname in their time apart, one that Ivan is determined to get to the bottom of.
