Summary
The first thing that Willis Todd does out of prison is an experience far more humiliating than all the years he’s just spent in Blackgate.
A small mercy is, he supposes, that it is not Bruce Wayne who actually picks up the phone.
willis todd does not know how it felt to hold his son’s body as it got cold. bruce wayne did not ever hold jason as an infant, nor at five.
whatever they say about april and the worth of money.

Summary
Jason Todd doesn't do funerals, but he made an exception for Dick Grayson's. When Agent 37 shows up on a rooftop one day, Jason decides he hates him even though he's the former Nightwing. Dick Grayson is a liar, and Jason wants absolutely nothing to do with him. Until one day, Agent 37 goes missing, and Red Hood goes to find him. How complicated could a simple search and rescue mission for an estranged brother be?
Turns out the rescue isn't the hardest part.

Summary
Bruce Wayne knew what he needed to do. Get in, take down Killer Croc, get out. It was supposed to be simple. He never expected a shiny red helmet to show up and ruin everything, or that the boy wearing the helmet would force Bruce to reevaluate everything he thought he knew about himself and his family.

It’s just that the problem didn’t start with Zur, so why would it end with him? Bruce has been hitting his apprentices since Dick was eight years old. He’s said he would stop before, and sometimes, it’s even lasted a while. But Bruce breaks all of his promises, sans one, and Dick is just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Summary
Gotham has the strangest creatures. Jason doesn’t consider himself one, but he lives where too many were born and bred. It’s hard to separate yourself from that bitter reality; sometimes, you can’t. It digs its blazing talons into you and refuses to let go. Jason doesn’t know where it’s taking him, but nothing screams good. In fact, he thinks he’s screaming.
Or: Exploring Jason growing up in the gutters of Gotham (and then in the halls of Wayne Manor) through the lens of an old, discarded plotline Jason almost suffered in canon. (Real ones can predict what’ll happen).
