Not the smell of his skin fresh from the shower or the sweat of him in training gear. Not the sound he made when Katsuki dug his thumbs into the knots in his back and worked them loose. Not the look in his eyes after long patrols. Not the softness of his morning voice or the way he whispered when it was just them in the dark.
And the world had the audacity to call him beloved.
Or; Everyone is grieving Red Riot. Katsuki is grieving Eijirou.
There’s a difference.

Summary
After getting a vaccine, Recovery Girl gives Eri a strawberry lollipop to ease the jitters. Ergo: strawberries calm people down. So when she overhears Deku talking about Bakugou's beeping heart monitor, she knows just what she needs to do. (Going shopping was not part of the plan but she's not complaining.)
Eri's hand appears in front of his face, offering him another strawberry gummy.
"I ain't gonna steal all your snacks, brat."
She remains insistent. "It's for you," she says. "To ease the gophers."
Before Katsuki can ask what the hell that's supposed to mean, there's a loud clank from the living room, a whirring shudder, and a distinct lack of humming from the AC.

Aizawa stood at the window nursing a strong cup of coffee. In the long stretch between his teacher's accommodation and Heights Alliance, fresh snow covered the sidewalks and greens. Sweeper bots would be out later to salt the paths, and later still Class A would make their way into the main building for the day's lessons.
For now it was quiet. Untouched.
Aizawa didn't startle when he felt a small body brush past his knee, but he did drop one hand onto Eri's head as she passed, gently smoothing down her hair.

“No.” Tyler deadpanned. He hoped it was enough to communicate his complete resistance, but knowing Aiden that wouldn’t matter.
“Too late, I’m outside!”
