Summary
Dream chokes on a weak sob. “George—”
"I’m here,” George says. “I’m here, baby. You did it.”
Dream blinks rapidly through blurred vision, trying to make out George’s bright expression. He wipes his eyes with the sleeve of his hoodie and takes shaky breaths, grips onto George with his other hand.
“You overwhelmed?” George asks. And Dream nods. “Yeah, that’s okay.” George brushes the pad of his thumb across Dream’s damp cheek. “That’s okay, take your time. Breathe, Dreamie. You did amazing out there.”
[Or, After Dream's first concert ever, he walks straight out of the spotlight and into George's arms.]

Summary
George opens his legs wider, and Dream positions himself like he’s actually fucking him.
Except he’s not, because there’s layers of fabric in the way and, somehow, the denial makes it all the hotter. He leans in close again, re-places his elbows on either side of George’s head as George whines into his mouth. Their bodies are inches away from each other, only touching where they both feel the most sensitive. He doesn’t understand how they got this carried away in such a short amount of time, how George can have such a strong effect on him without even needing to do much.
Or, sometimes, Dream feels nothing. George helps him feel everything.

Summary
The thing about Dream and George is that there’s no such thing as secrets between them.
He can’t quite pinpoint when exactly this became the case, but he thinks it had to have been sometime between sharing an apartment and embarking on their first tour in a van. There wasn’t really room for secrets when you never got a single moment alone, and at some point it became natural to spill their guts to each other whenever they were delirious with exhaustion after staying up way too late.
He knew about the time George stole a few pounds from his mom’s purse when he was a kid and felt so bad about it that he cried and admitted it to her within an hour, just like George knows about the time he accidentally pissed the bed in the middle of the night and didn’t tell anybody. They know each other, and old secrets spill out across interstates between Orlando and Miami and Tampa.
With old secrets being fair game, new secrets were a lost cause. And that’s why Dream had kind of always been absolutely fucked when it comes to George.

Summary
The shift into realization can’t be boiled down to a single moment.
It’s a series of moments over months and months and months, and maybe it goes back further than he can even remember. It starts with George ghosting him, and it starts again with meeting George for the second time. It starts with George agreeing to put his livelihood on the line to help him chase an unlikely dream, and it starts with hours long Discord calls where he unknowingly grows fonder and fonder of George with time.
It starts with looking at a sweaty George in a fucking Minecraft video, of all things, and thinking oh. I want him.
And from there, it’s looking back at all the moments leading up to this realization, and wondering how he didn’t notice before now, or if maybe he just didn’t have the words to put to it until he’d spent enough time on the internet.

Summary
