Summary
'There's a notification clogging up his screen.
Dennis Whitaker (R1): Hey, just wanted to check in with you after yesterday. It was intense. And also, that thing you were asking about? I feel like Trin kinda got in your head about it. Amy's really just a friend. She needs help on the farm, with a baby, and I'm pretty good at farmwork. That's all.
It's entirely too much justification for your boss.'
Robby finally makes it to his sabbatical.
Whitaker finds himself a little adrift without his boss around.
Jack is just trying to make sure the both of them are happy.

Summary
The defining truth of his life is, people leave.
He was a naive boy who wanted to believe in something larger than him, so every fucked up thing that happened to him meant something. So that every person who left, walked away, had some higher purpose elsewhere.
He knows now, the reality. That he's just easy to walk away from. That people don't stay for him.
Until Whitaker.

Summary
"It's you, Mike." He said softly, voice breaking in a way that it never did. He cleared his throat and took a deep steadying breath. "You're the patient. I'd sit down if I were you."
"I'd fucking better be fucking joking if I were you?" He almost stuttered, barely keeping his sentence in structure as he squared up to Jack, taller than his dear old friend. "On what grounds? Am I having a stroke? What is this?"
Jack's gaze was steady, challenging. He may be shorter, but he was stronger than Robby, if it came to needing that. He hoped not. "Involuntary psych hold." He said with more authority than he felt.
"Ohoho," Robby laughed, meanly. "No."
