Summary
Rand al'Thor wasn't his to have, but he had taken him anyway. Burn the Wheel, burn the Pattern, burn Tuon and Rand's three bloody brides. Mat had taken Rand, first to spite destiny, then because he didn't know how to survive without holding him.
Mat had taken Rand, for all his sins, and maybe if he held him hard enough, the other man would never remember that Mat had abandoned him in their past life.
