V is trying to rebuild her life after coming out of a coma, but it isn't easy carrying feelings of guilt and regret. She becomes a fixer and tries to mend things in Night City, offering a chance to do the same to her former lover. Staying friends with your ex is always complicated, especially as things between V and River never ended with closure. Maybe two people who made wrong choices can make something right.

Summary
Valerie got out of 2 year coma to find out the world and all her friends moved on. She tries to find her new place in Night City, rebuild her life and right some wrongs. V and River bump into each other and it seems neither of them want to admit that they still have unresolved feelings. Both of them changed drastically and they need to get to know each other again. Maybe reconnecting does not make sense anymore- or maybe it's a chance to make things work. This is the fix-it that I needed and that I'm giving myself. This is my first work.

Summary
“You ever talk with her?” James had gone out with his old buddy Charles, another marine. They were sharing a beer, loud music from the bar playing overhead.
James took a swig of his beer. “I mean yeah, obviously.”
“What’s she like?” James shrugged, letting the glass rim rest against his bottom lip for several moments before taking another drink and setting it against the bar.
“Honestly? Pretty boring. Makes my job easy - does the same thing every day. We chat, sure, but I’m not having deep philosophical conversations with her. Typical soldier shit, runs a lot, does her target practice, eats her wheaties.” Charles started laughing.
“Bet she’s impressive to watch.” James blushed at that, Charles knocking his shoulder with his.
