Hello. I did write a plot for this fic with multiple chapters, but am not currently working on it. Maybe I'll come back to it and edit the existing chapters. Just posting what I have and getting it out of my drive. If I do decide to complete this, what is now chapter two will probably get pushed back to chapter three or later.

“I’m only stranded here because I followed you!” Lance shouted, and that was the crux of it, wasn’t it? At the centre of it all, Keith’s thumping, beating heart, bleeding out by design. Keith’s lips twisted into a sneer.
“Then maybe you shouldn’t have.”
If Lance tried to kiss him because he meant it, he should’ve known better. Caring for Keith was a battle, and he was going to get tired of fighting it. Keith would rather have nothing, than have something good and watch it leave him behind.

Summary
Heartbroken and depressed after the war, Lance secludes himself away on his family's farm, hoping to put himself to good use where he won't be reminded of Allura, Voltron, or the War. Unfortunately for him, the other paladins don't let him disappear that easily. Especially a certain black paladin with an atrocious hairstyle and unreasonably pretty eyes. Even with all of his friends in space, Lance doesn't wants to go back, afraid of what memories he would uncover; memories he spent so long repressing. But one year is a long time. A lot can happen and a lot can change. It may just be the right amount of time that Lance needs to come to terms with all of his feelings, good and bad, and finally move forward and move on.

Or: this fic takes place immediately after the war, in the one year that the show mentions has passed. Lance is a little messed up, but his friends are there for him and give Lance the encouragement he needs to heal. Especially Keith.

Summary
Future Him’s face turns serious again. “I do still have a warning for you, though, and it’s kind of time-sensitive.”
“Go for it,” Lance says, mission mode activated. (Despite what the team may tease, they all know Lance can be serious).
“Okay!” Future Him leans out of frame a little, and the sound of rapid typing is faintly audible. “I just sent you a file. Check your station.”
Lance does, on it finding a document with nothing but a list of several coordinates, only a few that he recognises.
“...Coordinates? What for?”
Future Him’s face turns hard, but there’s something… off, about it. Lance can’t quite pin it down.
“This is a list of places you must, never, ever visit,” Future Him responds gravely. “Ever. Just completely off-limits. You’ll thank me, promise.”
Never… ever?
“...Right,” Lance says slowly. He crosses his fingers behind his back. “Of course. I’ll make sure I avoid these places. Got it.”
