It’s as infuriating as it is enticing and Cú Chulainn doesn’t know whether he should feel angry or nostalgic. He doesn’t like Tsukuyomi— he’s arrogant and so pious, but he’s beautiful and terrifying all the same. Amaterasu warns him about her brother and former husband. Don’t trust him, she says. He doesn’t know what took place between them, doesn’t really understand their relationship to begin with, but he trusts Amaterasu’s judgement.

Summary
France, 1794.
Connor, following an attack on the Homestead by Templar forces, has travelled to England in order to retrieve the letters exchanged between Haytham and his half-sister Jennifer in the hope of forging peace between the Assassins and Templars in America. His hunt leads him to France, and consequentially to the Pieces of Eden uncovered by Arno Dorian, and the race for possession they have started.
Arno, still reeling from the events beneath the Temple, has returned to Paris a broken man and searching for a way to re-enter the Brotherhood. He’s determined to find the answers to his questions concerning the Apple and the Sword, and to uncover the identity of the name he pulled from Philippe Rose’s memories: the mysterious Lady Eve.
Yet the activity is stirring up the dust, and interest, of Shay Cormac. Upon learning that two powerful Pieces of Eden have been found in France, he vows to lay his hands on them before the Assassins can do harm.
