Summary
It’s not real. It’s not real. It can’t be.
He’s hallucinating. A concussion. Hell, maybe this is some sort of purgatory.
“Fuck,” he rasps, the word torn from him as a cough shakes his body. Copper floods his tongue. He blinks, disoriented, and Bobby’s still there, solid, impossibly so, haloed in dust.
“You’re not real,” Buck croaks.
“Maybe,” Bobby says with a small shrug, the ghost of a smile tugging at his lips. “Or maybe death sent me as a kindness.”
“You’re not real,” Buck insists again, the words cracking apart.
“I’m real enough,” Bobby murmurs. “Now breathe.”
Buck tries. It hurts, sharp, jagged, but the air finds its way into his lungs. He coughs, choking on dust and tears as the collapsing world bleeds back into sound. When he opens his eyes again, Bobby’s still there, steady, unshakable, holding the weight of Buck’s grief in his gaze. He nods downward.
“Put pressure on that before you bleed out, dumbass.”

Summary
“A week,” Eddie sighed. “We can do this, right?”
Eddie’s gaze was pleading, needing assurance and comfort. His eyebrows were pinched in the middle of his forehead and Buck wanted to reach out and smooth it out with his thumb. Instead, he said, “’Course we can. We’ve faced tsunamis, beenados, earthquakes, broken dams… hey, where do we think the Diaz Parents Staying For A Week ranks?”
“Most likely to end in death,” Eddie muttered.
Buck clicked his tongue as he pulled the bowls from the cabinet for the salad, “That’s the lightning strike, actually.”

The Diaz parents showing up unexpectedly to the shared Buckley-Diaz household leads to some unexpected confrontations, late night conversations, and over due confessions.

Summary
“Yeah, about that.” Harry interrupted, and May sighed. So much for subtlety, she supposed. “You and Eddie.”
“Are best friends.” He answered, with the finality of a conversation finished.
Buck might be used to being the annoying little brother, and May might be used to being the tired older sister, but Harry was ready in a way May had to find a little funny.
“I was going to say super gay.” Harry answered casually.
Buck sputtered. “I’m bisexual and you know I’m bisexual.”
“Okay and what’s his excuse?”

Harry and May take it upon themselves to use their weekly Bachelor nights to parent trap Buck and Eddie.

Summary
“So, what does it feel like? When you, you know, feed?”
Eddie should’ve lied. Should’ve said something simple—clinical, boring. But Buck’s eyes were on him, baby blues soft around the edges, and Eddie’s restraint had never survived those eyes for long.
Damn him.
“It’s not what you think,” he said finally. “We do drink to satiate our hunger or quench our thirst, whatever—but a live feeding is something that’s… intimate. It’s all about connection. You can feel someone’s heartbeat through your own. Taste everything they are—their emotions, their diet, their lifestyle. It’s electric. Overwhelming, sometimes.”
Buck’s lips parted. “That sounds—”
“Too much?” Eddie supplied.
“Kind of amazing, actually. I wonder what I taste like.”
That earned him a huff of a laugh. Eddie looked away, because if he didn’t, he’d start imagining things he shouldn’t. Like what Buck’s skin would taste like, what his pulse would sound like up close.
Eddie came out to Buck as a vampire. Of course, Buck started asking him the most important questions.
