Summary
A young man entered the cafe at speed, wild-eyed and panting. He locked eyes with Suguru and a moment later had vaulted over the counter and crouched at his feet, back pressed against the bar.
Suguru watched this happen with the vague detachment of the extremely overtired. He thought absently that it was lucky he’d cleaned up the drinks or they would have impeded what had been a rather impressive hurdle. The athlete in question was looking up at him with the most stunning blue eyes he’d ever seen.
He looked fucking terrified.

“What? I’m in a parent-teacher meeting… What should you do? I don’t know, break his fucking kneecaps so that he won’t run away again. Don’t call me right now.”
And then he was putting his phone away and smiling at Satoru like he hadn’t just said what he did.
“Excuse me?” Satoru asked, face slack with shock.
Getou gave him a look of confusion. “Is something wrong?”
Satoru blinked again and continued, “What did you- did you just-“
At that Getou sighed, shaking his head with a smile of understanding. “You’re right, that was impolite. You know how it is, managing a company can be tough work.”
“And that involves breaking kneecaps?” he finally asked, voice hushed as he glanced at the girls.
This time that look of confusion didn’t cross Getou’s face. Instead, Satoru watched as his shoulders relaxed and the smile on his face widened, hands shifting into the pockets of his trousers.
“Who said anything about breaking kneecaps?”
Satoru’s shoulders dropped, his mouth going dry as he stared at Getou with wide eyes. “Are you seriously gaslighting me right now?”Teacher Satoru and may-or-may-not-be-apart-of-the-Yakuza Suguru.

Summary
Suguru Geto is a Beta.
At least he is, until a heat wave strikes Tokyo during spring, and suddenly he’s displaying Alpha characteristics. He shouldn’t feel possessive over his Omega best friend, and he most certainly shouldn’t smell things no other Beta can, either. It takes separation anxiety, dick growth, and random boners in order to understand that maybe he isn’t a Beta after all.
