Summary
The day in Abu Dhabi was the beginning of the end for Oscar, the beginning of his personal hell.
He looks at Lando, standing higher than him on the podium, but Norris doesn't care. He became champion and he doesn't care whether he finished second or third in this race. He's literally glowing. And Oscar... the emotions that had accumulated over months washed over him all at once, and now he can't understand how to fight them... His little death had started long ago, but since that day, it had been killing him every single day.

Summary
One month since the deployment ended. One month since Max walked away from Charles in that Mediterranean hangar. One month of pretending the distance doesn't hurt.
Charles is in Marseille. Max is in Amsterdam. They text at midnight and fall asleep on phone calls they're not supposed to make. They count days until leave weekends that keep getting cancelled. They lie to their squadrons about why coffee tastes wrong and flight debriefs feel hollow.
Max's suppressants are failing. Charles is breaking his own rules. The static between them is getting louder.

Summary
Oscar isn’t ashamed to admit that he’s genuinely kind of terrified when he signs with McLaren. Even putting aside the entire drama that is the contract debacle with Alpine. It had been bad enough being their reserve driver, he didn’t think he could stand to be their actual driver.
Still, the guilt had been weighing on him like something heavy. Both for the entire drama, and the knowledge of whose seat he had taken exactly.
He was glad suddenly that he had never gotten around to disclosing his real designation to the team, because at least that was one less thing they could use against him.or
(Oscar, a newly presented omega does what anyone could do when panicking; he lies about his designation. He think's it will be an easy situation, right up until the grid begins acting so strange)
