At first, I feared him, after all he had done to me. Then, I ran into him in a dark alley, only instead of a screaming fight and the sound of gunshots breaking the hum of the quiet city, I found myself carrying his weak, feverish form into my apartment; still fearing for my life as I regretfully nursed him back to health.
Ever since then, I've watched Armaros grow and change. He isn't evil. He isn't heartless. He's just struggling with his own head, and made some bad choices that he regrets. He's come to guard me, now. Instead of taking my life, he works to protect it. Last night, he did. He saw the gun pressed against my head and gave himself up to the will of our attackers. But neither of us expected the aftermath. -

Hiro sat on his bed, groaning quietly as the streaming service website he had up on his laptop asked him if he was still watching NCIS. He took a quick moment to look at the alarm clock sitting on his desk. Bright red LED lights stung as he read the time.

Shit.
