Summary
This is an idea I've had, along with many others, in my head for a long while. Basically it's a very loose retelling of the original Star Wars trilogy with heavy inspiration from Arcane. Mainly with it's characters. I would try to write it myself but unfortunately I'm not the best writer and I'm usually left busy with work and tired at the end of the day. If anyone is up for writing this I'd think it'd be very interesting and cool to see what people come up with, especially if it's not a complete retelling of Star Wars and them not using the script verbatim. I want people to have fun with this. Even if that means adding fun twists to it. My original idea was to have this be a Cait-Vi centric story with Caitlyn as a young imperial officer or stormtrooper who eventually defects to the Rebellion and Vi as a force sensitive farmer or smuggler who gets roped into the mess and ultimately has a destiny she doesn't quite fully realize or understand until later. No one needs my permission to write or use this idea as I'm very curious to see what multiple people come up with, though I think longer chapters always make for better stories. Even if that means not as frequent updates compared to shorter chapter stories.

Vi scanned the ticket with a furrowed brow, reading off the immense order for table 26: three sides of fries, two starter salads, four other appetizers, six mains, a couple more sides, three slices of cake and two sorbets. “Is this a full service in one go?” Vi glanced to the bottom of the ticket for the name of the server responsible.

“Houston, do you copy?”
Caitlyn panicked, feeling extraordinarily unprepared having been thrust into her new position without so much as even a handbook to consult. What were the formalities? What was she supposed to respond with? Where was the damn push to talk button…
“Hellooo? I said Houston, do you copy?”
Caitlyn fiddled with her headset, having finally found the green button on the side and hastily letting out a rather breathless reply. “Um, yes. Hello? This is Houston. I copy.”
There was a long pause in which Caitlyn sat twiddling her thumbs, anxiety pushing the frantic pulse of her heartbeat through her eardrums. Was that wrong? Did she already fuck up? She took a steady deep breath, finger hovering over the talk button until the familiar voice of the astronaut came through her headset once more.
“Damn, Houston. I didn’t expect you to sound so sexy.”
OR
Caitlyn has been assigned as the personal capcom to one of the astronauts currently on a year long expedition at the international space station. Cue long months of pining and desperate longing.

“Oh—are you okay?”
Caitlyn freezes. That voice. She looks up, and Vi is right there.
She's right there, staring down at her, clear blue eyes laced with concern. Her pink hair was slightly in her face, rosy strands falling into those crystalline eyes. Caitlyn suddenly felt the urge to brush them out of her face.
She blinks, her brain shutting down. What is happening? Did she ask her something?
Vi kneels down without hesitation, grabbing a handful of scattered papers.
Caitlyn does not move. Caitlyn does not breathe.
“That was a pretty bad hit,” Vi says casually, handing her back a book. She takes it back with shaky hands.
