Summary
“The passenger,” Eddie rasped, his voice cracking. “Evan Buckley. Where is he?”
Dr. Harrison smelled like industry grade blocker when he stepped closer, checking the readout on the monitor. He didn’t look Eddie in the eye. “Mr. Diaz, you’re in Nashville General. We’ve processed the intake from the scene. The Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle rollover—your truck. You were the only occupant recovered from the wreckage.”
“No,” Eddie hissed, the word tearing at his throat. The heart monitor began to spike, a frantic tweet-tweet-tweet echoing his rising pulse.
On their way home from Nashville, Buck went missing.

Summary
“Wanna dance?” Eddie asks, leaning only slightly away to look at Buck. He’s smirking now, eyes traveling all over Buck’s face, taking in his expression and the color blooming on his cheeks.
There’s a look in Eddie’s eyes now, one that Buck hadn’t quite seen before this trip. Or had he? Did it just not mean to him then what he realizes, or thinks, it means now? Regardless, it confirms a thought that has been niggling at the back of his mind all night.
Flirting. Eddie was flirting with him.
or, Buck visits Eddie in Texas a few months after he leaves LA. They road trip to Austin with Adriana to stay with Sophia, who has planned a night out on the town that none of them will soon forget - especially Buck and Eddie.

Summary
When a new paramedic joins the 118 and immediately gravitates toward Eddie, Buck tells himself it doesn’t matter. Eddie deserves admiration, and Buck’s just his best friend and partner—replaceable, expendable, easy to work around. But jealousy sits heavy in his chest, twisting tighter with every shared smile and field story.
On a bad freeway call, Buck makes a split-second, reckless choice to keep Eddie safe and nearly gets himself crushed in the process. Shaken and furious, Eddie demands to know why Buck treats his own life like it’s worth less than everyone else’s. What starts as a confrontation in the locker room turns into the one conversation they’ve both been avoiding for years—about fear, about being “too much,” and about all the ways they matter to each other.
Between a worried team, some well-timed teasing, and a late-night visit to Buck’s loft, walls finally crack, confessions spill, and Buck has to face the terrifying truth: he isn’t replaceable to Eddie. He’s everything. Angst, jealous!Buck, soft hands-on-face moments, and a new definition of “we’re okay” as Buck and Eddie figure out what it means to stop dancing around gravity and finally fall.

Summary
“I can’t just—oh, holy shit,” Buck says through a laugh.
“What?” Eddie asks, contorting himself to try and follow Buck’s line of sight. “What is it?”
Buck physically manhandles him so that he’s looking in the right direction and discreetly points towards the aisle.
“Are those little helicopters hanging off the pews,” Buck asks in horror.
Eddie is equally horrified, for the record.
“We’d never have something that trashy at our wedding,” he says without thinking.
Buck freezes next to him. “At our wedding?”
*
(Eddie accidentally makes a comment about his and Buck’s future wedding. Buck doesn’t even know Eddie’s gay.)

Summary
It’s dangerous. You never know what will happen. Those were the words his mom told him when he asked what happens if his golden egg happens to be a living being. If anything ever happened to them, it would break you.
Hell, her golden egg wasn’t living and someone broke in and robbed their home, finding it and taking it. Them not being able to find it led to her death, it still haunted him to this day. He didn’t want a golden egg, quite content to just have his little trinkets and such. Not every dragon or dragonkin had a golden egg, so he was fine.
Until some gorgeous prick looked at him and Scott and told them it was private property.Bookmarked by Darkmoon80
