“Miss Nomani, was it?” he asked, peering at her down the length of his nose. “Neve Nomani?”
He knew her name? “I—yes, sir,” Neve stammered. “I mean—yes, my lord.”
His lip curled upward again at her obvious nerves. “And do you know who I am, Miss Nomani?”
Should she know him? Did he have the same feeling when he looked at her?

Other than respect, of course.Yes this is a Pride and Prejudice plus magic fic, in which Gale is Darcy and Astarion is Elizabeth (to begin with). Beginning just after Astarion turns down Gale's proposal.

Absolute masterpiece of a fic

Summary
Violet Sorrengail, small, stubborn, and violent, with a scholarly disposition, seems to unite less-than-desirable luck with brute strength of will, and had been challenged by her mother to survive a fate worse than death: a successful first season on the marriage market.
Most of society would rather see her ruined than successful – like Xaden Riorson of Aretia, the brutal man who inherited a mantle of social scandal.
But Violet is determined to prove her preceding reputation wrong. She will find a successful match, and will settle for no less than a love match.
