    "Yeah. I was an orphan, and they decided to take me in. I had a happy childhood and lots of siblings, so I considered myself lucky. But then I found out they were raising us like livestock to be sold off. Others around me seemed to accept that notion. But I could not. And so, I killed them."

    When Lumine heard that the crime that landed Wriothesley in the Fortress of Meropide in the first place was that he killed his parents, naturally she was shocked and horrified. But...the more she thought about it, the more curious she became. How did it get to that point? Why was that the only option he saw? And how did the teenage murderer end up as the fair, calm, and collected Duke of Meropide?

    (My take on Wriothesley's past based on the companion stories with a little embellishment, set right after the Beret Society incident. There are WriothesleyXLumine contents, but it is not the main focus. This story contains mature content and adult themes, so please read at your own risk)
