“I object!” Wei Ying’s clear voice rang out over the hall as the doors he just burst through hit the wall dramatically. He looked out to where he expected Lan Zhan to be, only, he wasn’t there. This wasn't even a wedding!
There was a deafening silence hanging in the room, as everyone looked from Wei Ying, then back over to the coffin that was now rattling slightly.
The lid slowly slid off before a man in a suit, that looked like he was in his early 20s, sat up and looked out over the crowd in a mix of wonder and horror.
Did he just… object to someone being dead and then bring him back to life?
