Summary
All the trouble with Heaven and Hell over, Crowley and Aziraphale settle in the South Downs for a quiet retirement, only returning to London for visits. But a chance to be in Les Misérables makes Aziraphale want to extend their current stay, and he's dragged Crowley into things as well. Now, they are playing Enjolras and Grantaire in a one-night rendition of the musical. But while Aziraphale is having the time of his life, Crowley tumbles deeper into depression. For him, the role brings up the trauma-laden memories of not only those early days when Aziraphale did not reciprocate his feelings, but also of his own Fall.

Summary
The first time seeing Crowley in four years, after becoming the Supreme Archangel of Heaven, Aziraphale is forced to witness the Metatron first torture, then triumphantly turn Crowley over to Satan, who turns up in-person to take possession of his wayward tempter. Satan has permanent plans for Crowley to make him forever Hell's. Those plans include payment for his betrayal of Hell, with Satan himself in his blackstone room - the space where Crowley has been only twice before, yet where his deepest nightmares, and longest screams reside.
Meanwhile, Aziraphale discovers an ever increasing pit of corruption in Heaven where nothing is as it seems - Archangels are missing that no one remembers even exist, and Heaven itself has been changed without anyone seeming to notice. All to cement the Metatron's control and achieve his vision. The Metatron didn't count on Crowley upending Hell in the process of surviving, or Aziraphale Clue-ing out everything he wasn't supposed to, while trying to get his demon back..... Oh well.... Too bad for him…
