Summary
After Mei Changsu's identity is revealed in front of the Emperor, Jingyan doesn't fall apart in private. He goes straight to see Lin Shu, who is not prepared for the full force of Jingyan's feelings.
Another take on the classic theme of Jingyan Finds Out, now with added passionate yelling (productively, at each other!), sex as a gateway to emotional honesty, and the conflict between Lin Shu's desire to manhandle Jingyan and his body's unwillingness to move.

Summary
Jingyan knows what is happening to him. In the first hours, the sensation was familiar, the subtle burning under his skin distinct and memorable. He had asked his mother about the flower and the drug many years ago, omitting to mention that he had taken it himself. He had been a little alarmed by her description of the consequences if the pair who had taken it were unable to reunite — she had put it less euphemistically — but had decided to put it out of his mind. Whatever might happen over sixteen years, it couldn’t touch the bond between him and Xiao Shu.
He hadn’t even been sure the drug had had much effect. The rest of that season had been filled with triumphs of strength and with heated, stolen nights, but who could say whether that was the drug or mere suggestion working on their youth and strength? They were already invincible. They were already in love.

Summary
The first time Jingyan stays the night at Su Manor, he discovers an uncomfortable truth about Mei Changsu.
It is late, and Jingyan's mind is wandering recklessly. He attributes it to this place, to the strangeness of sleeping somewhere familiar but unfamiliar all the same. He desires Mei Changsu's touch, but despite the way they passed the evening, he isn't sure he would be welcome under the furs with him, welcome in his arms.
One pale hand extends from the rumpled pile of furs.
Jingyan brushes his knuckles against it.
