He can picture it now—both the reprieve on the balcony and the carnage that’s sure to follow.
It’s a thought that lasts until he sees a pair of hands place something that is decidedly not a small vanilla cone in front of him. Aki looks up in preparation to scold his roommates for messing with him again, only to be silenced by a voice that doesn’t belong to either of them.
“Enjoy,” the newcomer says with little intonation.
