Summary
When you're born, you're born with a tattoo. The tattoos vary in size, color, imagery, and the location on your body. That said, there's only four things that are consistent with the tattoos: 1)Every single person has another tattoo that matches their tattoo, 2)The tattoos typically appear around the age of thirteen, 3)The tattoos, once they appear, never go away, and 4)The tattoos, when they come into contact with their matching tattoo, create some physiological changes to their corresponding human; these changes vary. While it is true that every single person does indeed have a tattoo that matches their tattoo, the matching tattoos don't necessarily have to be the exact same. They could, and very often do, match the mood, feeling, power, energy, and so forth of their partner's tattoo. For instance, someone could have a tattoo of a musical instrument and their partner could have a tattoo of musical notes, or something similar.

Summary
Everyone is born with the name of their soulmate written on their wrist, in different colors and temperatures to show how close you are to meeting your mate. Black is normal, and skin temperature. Red is hot, and means you've gotten closer to the time of meeting. White is freezing, and means your soulmate is dead.
Martin is born with a white name, and it stays that way until his son is born.

Summary
Peter Stark really didn't have ulterior motives when he decided to keep his identity as Spider-man secret from his dad-- he'd just wanted to earn his dad's respect as a fellow superhero first before he came clean, honest-- but then, he never expected Iron Man to be interested in him.
