Summary
Hanzo felt his chest tighten and his brows furrowed as he stared at the date. This date truly upset him. He closed his eyes, trying to will away the dark memories of his past. No. They weren't all dark. Quite the opposite actually. It was a time were he felt as if he was truly at peace. A time were he felt that the ground he stood on could collapse away and he'd be safe with those large arms around-- sinking into those amber eyes-- haphazard brown locks-- sweet drawl dipped in honey-- NO. Hanzo grit his teeth as he let a harsh sigh pass between them. He brought up a hand to massage his temples. It had been 15 years since... it happened. He felt his chest and throat tighten. Why was he still like this? It's been 15 fucking years! He bit his lip and tried to calm himself. Whatever emotion was bubbling up, anger? Hatred? Sadness? He didn't like it.
AKA: Hanzo is trying to get his life back together after something in his past practically ruined him emotionally and mentally. His first love is haunting his thoughts and as much as he's mad at him, he still misses him. However, when they meet again, something isn't quite right.

Summary
Overwatch can be forgiven for keeping Hanzo at arm's length despite the endorsement of his intended murder victim. Six months of provisional membership, spent in the field, is a reasonable compromise.
But not everyone is on board with giving Hanzo a chance.
