Summary
A rewrite of the BLU team's lore with my own original characters. Self-indulgent.
It's been about three months since the BLU team settled into their modest base up in the cold mountains of Alaska. Their newest members, Heavy and Medic, were inseparable. Often it was speculated that the pair had some kind of relationship behind closed doors. However, when out and amongst the rest of the men, the medic followed his partner around like a puppy. Pale eyes focused up on the back of the giant's head at all times. Whenever anyone tried to communicate with the doctor it usually ended poorly. When the doctor was tapped or even lightly brushed against it would cause the man to either flee back to one of the rooms left in Medic's care or if escape was impossible, Medic would stare nervously at the person who'd caught his attention with a tight-lipped smile.Series

Summary
Merasmus' penchant for taking on terrible roommates isn't limited to just the RED Soldier, it turns out, and BLU Soldier finds himself at odds with the wizard shortly after moving in with him, which leads to so dramatic a falling out that the team ends up getting cursed the night before their big Halloween party! Nothing seems to be different though, at least until they wake up the next morning...

As the car drove along, John stared out the window. Memories were hitting him in quick succession, recognizing places he hadn’t seen in years. For some reason, his mind got stuck on what it was like to arrive there for the first time, the air crisp on an early fall morning. He remembered the coolness of the light breeze, how it was comforting against his too hot skin. He’d always felt so hot back then even though his body temperature was probably the same, or even lower, than it currently was. But he hadn’t grown into his mutation then, hadn’t had any control over it either, and the fact that he’d never burned the whole place down still surprised him.
or: John was arrested at Alcatraz, but the X-Men stepped in and convinced a judge to let him serve out his sentence under house arrest at the mansion. But as John starts to talk to everyone at the mansion, it becomes clear that something bigger is at work.

Medic gives you a smile that suggests he knows something that you don’t. “Ah… so he was keeping an eye on you.”
You wait for him to continue, but he just lets the cryptic comment sit with you in silence while he dabs at the wound with a gauze pad. Threads of cotton catch on the perimeter of the cut and you hiss, biting the inside of your cheek.
“Is that bad?” you venture, voice small.
“Nein.” he says, gently tugging your arm forward so that your palm lies beneath the warm glow of the Medi-gun. “If you must be saved, you could do far worse than Sniper.”
